Faces of Faery 187

Just a quick update to show my progress so far:

I stitched this in October but never took a picture until now.

Faces of Faery 187 & Passione Ricamo Mystery (2012)

I finished the third page and the first row of pages (sorry, the pic seems a bit wonky). I thought it was a dragon's tail next to her hair, but just figured she has wings, lol.

Sain kolmannen sivun ja ensimmäisen sivurivin valmiiksi (kuva näyttää olevan vähän kiero, pahoitteluni). Luulin pisteleväni lohikäärmeen häntää hiusten vieressä, mutta tajusinkin että tytöllä on siivet, hah.

I finally finished the backstitches and beading in the central design of Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL (2012). I'm not going to add the backstitches to the wings, in my opinion they are beautiful as they are now (plus I didn't like the colour the designer has chosen to them). There are still loads of beading to do in the border, so I'm still far of the finish. Here are two pics so you could actually see the beading.

Sain valmiiksi viimein Passione Ricamo Mystery yhteispistelyn (2012) jälkipistot ja helmet kiinni itse keijuun. En aio tehdä jälkipistoja lainkaan siipiin, minusta ne eivät sitä kaipaa (enkä pitänyt suunnittelijan valitsemasta väristä). Vielä on jäljellä runsaasti helmen kiinnitystä mallin kiertävään reunukseen, joten valmis tämä ei vielä ole. Ohessa kaksi kuvaa, jotta helmet näkyisivät paremmin.

I've decided to rearrange my rotation. I feel burnt out of some wip's, especially these two (FoF187 and PR Mystery). And I've been feeling quite overwhelmed after taking more wip's "on hold"-status to the rotation, so it's time to cut down the amount and start over. I'll start with two and increase the amount when it feels like it. The wip's I'm starting with are QS A Bunch of Love and Garnet. These are the one's I'm most in love with at the moment.

Olen päättänyt uudelleenjärjestää pistelysysteemiäni. Olen ollut melkoisen tympiintynyt joihinkin töihini, varsinkin näihin kahteen (Faces of Faery 187 ja PR Mystery-yhteispistely). Sen jälkeen kun olen lisäillyt töitä pistelylaatikkoon "odotus"-statuksesta, olen ollut vähän häkeltynyt siitä, mitä pistellä seuraavaksi. Joten nyt on aika taas siivota pöytä ja aloittaa alusta. Aloitan kahdesta ja lisään töitä sitä mukaa kun hyvältä tuntuu. Aloitan nyt QS A Bunch of Love- ja Garnet-malleilla. Nämä kaksi vetoavat tällä hetkellä eniten.

Faces of Faery 187

Not much of progress, my stitchy bug decided to take a hiatus. It's longing for a new start, so maybe I should make one so it would remain pleased. Just haven't made up my mind yet, whether I should keep the start small or go for something bigger (read: whatever fancies). But for now I'll be working on QS Theatre for a week.

Ei paljon edistystä, pistelyinnostukseni päätti pitää väliviikon. Haluaisin aloittaa jotain uutta, joten ehkäpä minun sitten pitää jotta innostus palaisi. En vain ole vielä päättänyt, aloittaisinko jotain pientä vai sitten ihan mitä tahansa haluan (eli toisin sanoen jotain suurempaa). Nyt kuitenkin pistelen viikon verran QS Theatre-mallia.

I carried on to the third and the final page in this row. It's only a partial so I have a slight chance to finish this row when her turn is next time. But now I'll get back to Hope, hopefully I can finish another page too! :)

Jatkoin kolmannelle ja viimeiselle sivulle tällä rivillä. Se on vain osittain pisteltävä sivu, joten ehkäpä saan tämän ylärivin kokonaan valmiiksi kun on taas vuoro pistellä tätä mallia. Mutta nyt palaan Hope-mallin pariin, toivottavasti saan siitäkin sivun tällä kertaa valmiiksi! :)

She's coming along nicely, next time I'll be focusing on her other eye. And she's going to be for my younger daughter, though she'll have to wait for a finish for awhile, lol :)

Tämä edistyy kivasti, ensi kerralla keskityn pistelemään toista silmää. Ja tämä tulee nuoremmalle tyttärelleni, vaikka hänen täytyykin odottaa valmistumista vielä jokunen tovi, heh :)

I think the dagger looks amazing. There's only a tiny slice of the first page left, but I'm moving on to Garnet.

Minusta tikari näyttää upealta. Sivusta on enää pieni osa pistelemättä, mutta siirryn kuitenkin Garnet-malliin.

Long time no see

Welcome to my new followers, hopefully you'll enjoy my work :)

Well, it has been quite awhile since I've posted anything at all. We had a great vacation with kids, had great time in the Moomin World. I have nothing but praises to say, it is a fantastic theme park absolutely! :)

Tervetuloa uudet lukijat, toivottavasti pidätte töistäni :)

Siitä onkin aika kauan aikaa, kun olen viimeksi postannut yhtään mitään. Meillä oli hurjan hauska loma lasten kanssa, käytiin mm.Muumimaailmassa. Minulla on vain hyvää sanottavaa siitä paikasta, kerta kaikkiaan mahtava paikka! :) 

 

After we got back home, my stitchy bug took a hiatus for a couple of weeks, I didn't pick up a needle at all. I was getting back to the rhythm, but then one of my dear family member passed away pretty suddenly in the middle of July. I've been stitching on and off since then, in fact when I had any time to do stitching. But without further ado, here are some pictures :)

First of all is Faces of Faery 187, which I've worked only a little bit (you can see the start of her dagger):

Kotiin tulon jälkeen pistelyinto lopahti pariksi viikoksi täysin, en kertaakaan koskenut neulaan. Olin jokseenkin taas löytämässä pistelyintoa, mutta heinäkuun puolessa välissä eräs rakas perheenjäsen nukkui pois yllättäen. Olen pistellyt siitä asti aina silloin tällöin, lähinnä kun on ollut yhtään aikaa. Mutta pidemmittä puheitta, tässä joitakin kuvia :)

Ensinnä on Faces of Faery 187, jota olen työstänyt aika vähän (tikarin alun voi jo nähdä):

The second one is Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL (2012). I've actually finished all the stitching part from the center! :)

Toinen työ, jota olen tehnyt on Passione Ricamo Mystery-yhteispistely (vuodelta 2012). Itseasiassa sain valmiiksi koko pistelyosuuden keskeltä! :)

Now I'll have to figure out how to do the border without the writing. And she probably insist some backstitches, though I'm not so fond of doing them ;) I have SHH Now in my Q-snaps, so the next update will be on her after I've finished the current page I'm working on. (I'm not making any promises when it will be.)

Nyt pitää keksiä miten tehdä köynnös reunoille ilman kirjoitusta. Ja en varmaankaan pääse jälkipistoja karkuun tälläkään kertaa, vaikken niistä erityisemmin pidä ;) Tällä hetkellä ompelukehyksessä on SHH Now-malli, joten seuraava päivitys tulee siitä, kunhan saan tämän meneillään olevan sivun valmiiksi. (En tee lupauksia siitä, kuinka nopeasti seuraava postaus tulee.)

Not as much as I'd have liked to, there are around 2000 stitches. I've been well, but kids have been sick all week (thanks for your wishes!), so hopefully next week will be easier and more productive as stitchy-wise :) QS Theatre of the Absurd will be on progress for the next week.

Ei tullut pisteltyä niin paljon kuin halusin, tässä on noin 2000 pistoa. Olen itse ollut nyt kunnossa, mutta lapset ovat olleet koko viikon kipeinä. Toivottavasti ensi viikko olisi helpompi ja pisto-rikkaampi :) QS Theatre of the Absurd pääsee seuraavaksi viikoksi työn alle.

SHH Now

I've been sick for a couple of days, so SHH Now was the only one who got any attention at all. Here's my progress pics (before and after) for the week:
