World Travel Book Shelf (large)

Not much progress as I was captured by a great book. I've been stitching pages 1&2 at the same time, 'cause the flowers are so confetti intensive. And the completion percentage, if you're curious, has increased to 0,71%, haha :)

Ei paljonkaan edistymistä, koska en malttanut laskea hyvää kirjaa kädestäni. Olen pistellyt kahta sivua samaan aikaan, kukat vaativat valtavasti värinvaihtoa. Ja valmistumisprosentti, jos kiinnostaa, on nyt noussut 0,71%, haha :)

By the way, I was approved to the polytechnic school. I could start it this upcoming fall, but will postpone it to 2015. But my next update will be on QS A Bunch of Love :)

Pääsin muuten ammattikorkeaan. Voisin siis aloittaa sen nyt tänä syksynä, mutta lykkään aloitusta vuoteen 2015. Mutta seuraava päivitykseni tulee QS A Bunch of Love-mallista.

Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL (2012)

As you probably guessed I got sidetracked with Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL. I did only a few stitches on World Travel so it's not even worth of a pic. But here's my fairy:

Kuten varmaan otsikosta voi päätellä, pistelysuunnitelmat muuttuivat viikon aikana ja pistelinkin Passione Ricamo Mystery-yhteispistelyä. Pistelin World Travel-malliin vain muutamia pistoja, joten ei kannata ottaa edes päivityskuvaa. Mutta tässä keiju:

I never thought I'd get so much beading done, there's a full package of beads. I'll modify this more from the original, not yet sure how but we'll see.

En olisi ikinä uskonut, että jaksaisin kerralla kiinnittää näin paljon helmiä, tuossa on siis kokonainen rasiallinen niitä. Muokkaan mallia mieleisekseni vielä alkuperäisestä, tosin en ole vielä varma että miten.

SHH Now

I've been stitching two pages at the same time.

Olen pistellyt nyt kahta sivua yhtä aikaa.

I really need some colours for a change, so next will be World Travel Book Shelf, which has loads of different colours :)

Tarvitsen nyt joitain muita värejä pisteltäväksi kuin valkoinen ja harmaan eri sävyt, joten seuraavaksi työn alle pääsee World Travle Book Shelf-malli, missä värejä riittääkin :)

QS A Bunch of Love & SHH Now

Well, I had change in plans during the week. First I finished the second page of QS A Bunch of Love:

Suunnitelmiin tulikin muutos kesken viikon. Ensiksi tein toisen sivun valmiiksi A Bunch of Love-mallista:

After that I just couldn't resist, I had to switch to SHH Now. And I finished two pages (the top row).

Sen jälkeen en voinut vastustaa kiusausta, vaan vaihdoin SHH Now-malliin. Sainkin kaksi sivua valmiiksi (koko ylin rivi).

And I cannot put her down, so she'll be getting another week. By the way, I finished three pages last week, that must be some kind of record for me, haha :) (Although all of them had under 1000 stitches.)

Enkä pysty vieläkään vaihtamaan pisteltävää työtä, joten tämä saa toisenkin pistelyviikon. Muuten, sain viime viikolla kolme mallisivua valmiiksi, joka varmastikin on jonkin asteinen ennätys minulle, heh :) (Vaikkakin siis jokaisessa sivussa oli alle 1000 pistoa tehtävänä.)

SHH Now

She has been an absolute joy to stitch, so she will remain for awhile in my constantly changing rotation.

Tätä mallia on ollut niin hauska pistellä, että pidän tämän hetken aikaa ns.pöydällä, enkä laitakaan takaisin muiden UFO:jen joukkoon.

New start

Sorry my update is late. Hopefully you haven't been holding your breath, haha :)  There has been some personal issues that I had to take care of. Plus I had the entrance exams today, fortunately it's over (a big phew), the results will be announced sometime in July. But here's what you've been waiting for, my new start: World Travel Book Shelf (large).

Anteeksi tämä päivitys on myöhässä. Toivottavasti kukaan ei ole odottanut tätä henkeään pidätellen, haha :) Henkilökohtaiset asiat ovat vieneet aikaani, samoin kuin pääsykokeisiin valmistautuminen, joka nyt onneksi on ohitse (iso huokaus). Nyt vain tuloksia odottamaan! Mutta tässä uusin aloitukseni, World Travel Book Shelf (iso).

This is how it'll look like someday. It's my first time for using the large format and there are whopping 170 pages to stitch. Yes, you read it right, haha :) So I might try tackling this by calculating percentages instead of pages. And the percentage is around 0,45% at this moment, so a looong way to go. By the way, this chart was a generous gift from lovely Alicia aka Crafty Princess.

Tässä koko malli, miltä tämäkin tulee näyttämään pisteltynä joku päivä. Tämä on ensimmäinen kerta kun käytän eri sivuformaattia (ns. tavallisen sijaan suurta), joten mallissa sivuja onkin nyt 170 kpl. Kyllä, oikein luit :) Joten taidan yrittää tämän mallin taltuttamista sivujen laskemisen sijaan prosenttien laskemisella. Ja prosenttiosuus on tällä hetkellä 0,45%, joten vielä on pitkä matka edessä... Sain muuten tämän mallin lahjaksi ihanalta Alicialta.

And can you believe, she gifted me this gorgeous chart from Tilton Crafts too! She is truly amazing lady, I'm sure you all agree with me. And don't you blush Alicia, haha :)

Sain hältä lahjaksi myös tämän mallin Tilton Crafts:iltä. Hän on upea ja hieno ystävä, tuskin kellään on siihen vastaan väittämistä. Äläkä Alicia turhaan punastele, haha :)

QS A Bunch of Love

Olette varmaankin melkoisen kyllästyneitä tähän tätiin, koska päivityskuvia siitä tulee niin tiuhaan tahtiin.

 
But...hang in there, next week will be something totally different! I've made a new start this morning and it's a chart you haven't seen here before :) I must say that I'm totally in love with it. I love the fabric I've chosen, I love the chart (including also the charting, it's so comfortable to read) and I love the colours. But it will remain as a mystery until next week, see you then ;)

Mutta...ensi viikolla onkin luvassa ihan jotain muuta! Aloitin uuden työn ja se onkin sellainen, jota en ole tässä blogissa aiemmin tuonut esille :) Täytyy sanoa, että olen totaalisen innoissani siitä työstä. Valitsin täydellisen kankaan, rakastan mallia (myös ohje on ihanan helppolukuinen) ja värit ovat upeat. Mutta mallin ja nimen näettekin vasta ensi viikolla, nähdään silloin ;)

Garnet

I have entrance exams in June and there're some materials that need to be studied in advance. But when you're looking at before and after pics, it's quite obvious that my time hasn't gone with studies, lol :)

Minulla on pääsykokeet kesäkuussa ja ennakkomateriaalia opiskeltavana. Mutta kun ennen ja jälkeen kuvia katsoo, on melko selvää että aikani ei ole tällä viikolla kulunut päntätessä, hehheh :)

There're only two columns left in the first row, so I'll probably finish it next round. Now it's time for QS A Bunch of Love.

Tästä riviltä on jäljellä enää kaksi 10x10 saraketta, joten varmaankin saan sen ensi kerralla valmiiksi. Mutta nyt on taas QS A Bunch of Love-mallin vuoro.

QS A Bunch of Love

It's funny how you can't see a progress whilst working on a project...

On aika hassua, miten työn edistymistä ei pistellessä huomaa lainkaan...

Here's where I started from at the beginning of the year. And you can actually see the difference :)

Sillä tästä lähdin pistelemään vuoden alusta. Ja muutoksen kuitenkin huomaa :)

Faces of Faery 187 & Passione Ricamo Mystery (2012)

I finished the third page and the first row of pages (sorry, the pic seems a bit wonky). I thought it was a dragon's tail next to her hair, but just figured she has wings, lol.

Sain kolmannen sivun ja ensimmäisen sivurivin valmiiksi (kuva näyttää olevan vähän kiero, pahoitteluni). Luulin pisteleväni lohikäärmeen häntää hiusten vieressä, mutta tajusinkin että tytöllä on siivet, hah.

I finally finished the backstitches and beading in the central design of Passione Ricamo Mystery SAL (2012). I'm not going to add the backstitches to the wings, in my opinion they are beautiful as they are now (plus I didn't like the colour the designer has chosen to them). There are still loads of beading to do in the border, so I'm still far of the finish. Here are two pics so you could actually see the beading.

Sain valmiiksi viimein Passione Ricamo Mystery yhteispistelyn (2012) jälkipistot ja helmet kiinni itse keijuun. En aio tehdä jälkipistoja lainkaan siipiin, minusta ne eivät sitä kaipaa (enkä pitänyt suunnittelijan valitsemasta väristä). Vielä on jäljellä runsaasti helmen kiinnitystä mallin kiertävään reunukseen, joten valmis tämä ei vielä ole. Ohessa kaksi kuvaa, jotta helmet näkyisivät paremmin.

I've decided to rearrange my rotation. I feel burnt out of some wip's, especially these two (FoF187 and PR Mystery). And I've been feeling quite overwhelmed after taking more wip's "on hold"-status to the rotation, so it's time to cut down the amount and start over. I'll start with two and increase the amount when it feels like it. The wip's I'm starting with are QS A Bunch of Love and Garnet. These are the one's I'm most in love with at the moment.

Olen päättänyt uudelleenjärjestää pistelysysteemiäni. Olen ollut melkoisen tympiintynyt joihinkin töihini, varsinkin näihin kahteen (Faces of Faery 187 ja PR Mystery-yhteispistely). Sen jälkeen kun olen lisäillyt töitä pistelylaatikkoon "odotus"-statuksesta, olen ollut vähän häkeltynyt siitä, mitä pistellä seuraavaksi. Joten nyt on aika taas siivota pöytä ja aloittaa alusta. Aloitan kahdesta ja lisään töitä sitä mukaa kun hyvältä tuntuu. Aloitan nyt QS A Bunch of Love- ja Garnet-malleilla. Nämä kaksi vetoavat tällä hetkellä eniten.
